Snopes Is Wrong on Racism
Snopes excuses the infamous Yahoo photos in which captions refer to a white couple as “finding” bread and soda and a young black man as “looting” a grocery store. Their key defense is that the latter is from the Associated Press and the former is from Agence France Presse.
That’s fine as far as it goes, except that as this Kos poster noticed, you can also find AFP callings blacks “looters” and AP referring to whites “leaving a convenience store". Snopes makes no mention of these photos.
