Girls Bluc refers to one of TV's most infamous series.

During the 2002 baseball playoffs, viewers were treated to endless ads for David E. Kelley's new FOX series, Girls Club. The promos featured three hot chicks as lawyers.

In Baseball Primer's AIM chat, Will Young misspelled the name of the show (probably due to the overwhelming excitement of its impending airing), and the misspelling stuck.

Thus began a three-season run of FOX promos becoming running jokes in chatter/Primer/BTF.

Girls Club lasted for 2 episodes before being canceled, hinting that the endless ads may have been counterproductive.
