Mike Emeigh

From Wiki Gonzalez

Mike Emeigh is a long-time Primate who's a displaced Pirates fan living in Raleigh, NC.

Mike has contributed thoughtful analyses of his team and of the other teams in the NL in various articles on BTF (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/author/mikeemeigh/), as well as Pirates-related news threads. He's not quite as down on Dave Littlefield as Vlad and other Buc fan Primates are, but he is still down on him -- and, by proxy, the Pirates' prospects.

Mike is a member of SABR, with his sabermetric interests being pitching and defense.

Mike occasionally watches PBS Kids and has been known to throw the word "doink!" around. :-)

Mike tries to go to at least one new ballpark per year.

Mike was featured in a complimentary article (http://indyweek.com/durham/2003-10-08/triangles2.html) for the Raleigh-Durham alternative newspaper "The Independent" a few years back. (FWIW, Tracy Ringolsby wrote a letter to the Editor complimenting Mike after the article.) This article also contained material on Chris Dial and David Cameron.

Mike is a season ticket holder for the Carolina Mudcats at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC.

Although Mike supposedly lives in Raleigh, NC, he's now spending most of his time as a traveling consultant (not to be confused with a traveling salesman). It is generally believed that Mike possesses all knowledge about everything.
