Willie Mays

From Wiki Gonzalez

Willie Mays (born 1931) was a legendary Hall of Fame center fielder for the Giants (in both New York and San Francisco) and the Mets. He is currently an employee in the Giants front office, and is the godfather of Barry Bonds.

More than one baseball journalist has called Mays the most complete player of all time, possessing all five tools prized by scouts in great abundance. Some even call him the best player of all time, better than Ruth, Williams, and the rest. The most sustained sabermetric analysis of Mays, by Bill James and others, has been performed in order to compare him to his contemporary, Mickey Mantle.

Four ballplayers, Willie Mays (real but no relation), an outfielder at the University of Kentucky and was drafted by MLB out of high school, Willie Mays Eyre (real), a Twins minor league pitcher who is the only white Willie on this list, Willie Mays Aikens (real) and Willie Mays Hayes (fictional), have been named in honor of Mays.
