From time to time, I get asked about the pronunciation of Trevise: Long story short. I misremembered the spelling of Trevize (in Asimov's "Foundation's Edge" and "Foundation And Earth") in 1997 when I was trying to decide from what characters in several different novels whose name(s) I would use for handles. (Lazarus, Jaxom and Leto among them.) When I realised my error about 8 months later, I had already settled on the current spelling. Although this/these guy(s) (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=trevise) may pronounce it differently, I put the stress on "vise." It should "sound" like "Denise"... Capeesh? ;-) ...
