Toby is a Boston Red Sox fan and a Primate.

In Old Primer, Toby was often found taking the contrarian side of an argument, usually on general principle that someone had to do so in order to actually have an informed debate.

In Sox Therapy, Toby tries to be the voice of reason and moderation, not panicking when the team is down, say, 3-0 in the ALCS against the Yankees in 2004. He invented the term "Therapudlian" to describe a poster to Sox Therapy.
