(Gonzo tries to blow the horn, but it always makes some weird non-horn sound)
In the first season, instead of the Statler and Waldorf dialog, Fozzie would make a joke, then the Kermit would introduce the guest star using these lines:
- To introduce our guest star
- Is what I'm hear to do
- So it really makes me happy
- To introduce to you... Mr. Leo Sayer!
Of course he only said exactly that when Leo Sayer was on. When it was, oh, say, Roger Moore, he substituted the name "Roger Moore" for the name "Leo Sayer." When it was Crystal Gayle, he did the same thing. Well, not quite the same thing because he said "Crystal Gayle" instead of "Roger Moore." Except I don't know if she was on in the first season or not. Truthfully, I don't know if any of these people were on in the first season. I do remember that Roger Moore can't sing at all. And that Gonzo once sang to Paul Simon "I'd rather be a pancake than a sneeze, the life of ease, than a sneeze, I surely would..." My, it's rather late...
