Ignored by their parents, ridiculed by peers, shunned even by the family pets.

And then, one day, they saw that ad in the back of their Spiderman comic.

Life was never the same.

Entire weekends spent rolling dice, "Two---Eleven....YES, a pinchhit 12th inning homerun by Floyd 'Sugarbear' Rayford wins the pennant for the Orioles!"

Winters filling notebooks with statistics and standings.

An obsession was born.
