Roger Clemens

From Wiki Gonzalez

Roger Clemens (born 1962) is a veteran pitcher for the New York Yankees. Earlier in his career he pitched for the Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Astros. Some are of the opinion that he's pretty good, being a seven-time Cy Young Award winner and all.

As he has aged, Clemens has gotten into the habit of taking all winter and spring off, flirting with retirement before inevitably signing a fat one-year contract with a team that will meet his demands -- a chance to make the postseason, and no required travel for road games in which he isn't scheduled to pitch. In recent years, that team has been the Astros, but in 2007 the Yankees were the lucky honorees.

On Baseball Think Factory, Darren is a big fan of Clemens. Other Primates are of the opinion that he's a headhunter -- Mets fans, for instance, hold a grudge against him for plunking Mike Piazza in 2000.
