Rivera line

The Rivera line is what Padre fans call the Mendoza Line.

The name is derived from former Padres centerfielder/failed top prospect Ruben Rivera (not to be confused with Angels outfielder Juan Rivera, unless you're Michael Kay), who was last seen stealing Derek Jeter's gloves. Rivera battled to stay above a .200 batting average, and finished with a career average of .216.
