Resting Alex Rodriguez
From Wiki Gonzalez
A resting Alex Rodriguez most certainly did post to Primer on September 19, 2002. Others too.
Brendan Ferguson nicely summed it all up on that glorious day:
- Perhaps this is not the time to point it out, but has anyone else noticed how many Major League baseball players frequent Baseball Primer? I am consistently surprised and delighted to see so many professional players take the time to discuss weighty baseball issues with the fans. Miguel Tejada, for example, has frequently posted, sometimes while an A's game is in progress! Now that is dedication to the fans.
- Special mention should be made of one player who has gone far above and beyond the call of duty here on the Primer. By my rough count, his posts number in the hundreds. I'm sure you know of whom I speak: none other than John F. Mabry.
- Hats off to John and all the players who help to make Baseball Primer such a great site.
The thanks from A-Rod and the other athletes were quite touching.
