PhillyBooster is not really Strom Thurmond, who is dead. He is a resident of the First Congressional District of New Jersey (Camden County), and an employee of a law firm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was born and bred an Orioles fan, but is an adult convert to the Phillies, and follows his new team with the zeal of any convert.

PhillyBooster (or as MattB before Baseball Primer changed over to BTF) is a charter member of the Hall of Merit project.
