Bill James had nothing new or shocking to write about Jeff Bagwell in his most recent Historical Baseball Abstract. So he didn't. For Bagwell's entry in the 100 Greatest First Basemen category, he just wrote

"Pass."

This phrase is useful to use anytime you find yourself having the same DIPS discussion for the twentieth time, or lurking in any touchy thread, or contemplating making a move on Sleepover Girl.

Folks. It seems pretty clear he was trying to say something about steroids. C'mon now.
