Negro Leagues
From Wiki Gonzalez
The Negro Leagues are a broad term describing the various baseball leagues and teams employing black ballplayers when Major League Baseball was restricted to whites. The leagues existed from the 1920s through the 1950s.
Probably the most famous Negro Leaguers are Jackie Robinson, Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron, and Buck O'Neil -- the latter for appearing in Ken Burns's popular "Baseball" TV series and retelling stories of many lesser-known Negro Leaguers.
