Mike Emeigh

Mike Emeigh is a long-time Primate who's a displaced Pirates fan living in Raleigh, NC.

Mike has contributed thoughtful analyses of his team and of the other teams in the NL in various articles on BTF, as well as Pirates-related news threads. He's not quite as down on Dave Littlefield as Vlad and other Buc fan Primates are, but he is still down on him -- and, by proxy, the Pirates' prospects.

Mike is a member of SABR, with his sabermetric interests being pitching and defense.

Mike occasionally watches PBS Kids and has been known to throw the word "doink!" around. :-)

Mike tries to go to at least one new ballpark per year.

Mike was featured in a complimentary article for the Raleigh-Durham alternative newspaper "The Independent" a few years back. (FWIW, Tracy Ringolsby wrote a letter to the Editor complimenting Mike after the article.) This article also contained material on Chris Dial and David Cameron.

Mike is a season ticket holder for the Carolina Mudcats at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC.

Although Mike supposedly lives in Raleigh, NC, he's now spending most of his time as a traveling consultant (not to be confused with a traveling salesman). It is generally believed that Mike possesses all knowledge about everything.
