Mento

From Wiki Gonzalez

A 'mento' is an intentional mispelling, usually for the sake of a pun. It can be thought of as an abbreviation of 'meant to', with a little bit of 'typo' thrown in. An example of a 'mento' can be found in this thread (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/primer/discussion/24261/), when Repoz refers to musical 'girl groups' as 'girl gropes'. GGC originated the term.

In addition, there are those who believe that 'mento' is the singular for Mentos, The Freshmaker! (http://www.mentos.com/mentossite/), while others insist that the singular of Mentos is 'Mentos', as in, "Thank you, Hans, for helping me drive Turkish immigrants from our quaint Bavarian town. May I have a Mentos?"
