Larry Mahnken

Larry Mahnken is a writer for The Hardball Times, publisher of the Replacement Level Yankees Weblog and a frequent poster at Baseball Think Factory, especially in the Game Chatters.

On January 24th, 2005, Larry's apartment burned down. The BTF community rallied to help him rebuild his life, through generous donations of clothing, money, books and CDs. He is ever grateful to everyone who helped, including kevin, who he has strong differences with but who was very generous.

In February 2005 Pat Robertson gave a statement in which he declared God was punishing Larry Mahnken for being a Yankees fan.

Larry's foreskin is used as the tarp at Yankee Stadium.*

• It could be worse. Larry's foreskin could have been used as the tarp at Busch Stadium on October 13, 1985, in which case he would to this day be known as the d*ckh**d who ran over Vince Coleman.

Larry left Baseball Think Factory in September, 2005 because certain posters were consistently infuriating him, and it was detrimental to his mental health to get so angry so often.

Hang in there Larry. Better things are ahead for you (I hope). I'll keep the light on and save your seat for you. I'm hoping this is just a sabbatical.--John
