Karlmagnus
From Wiki Gonzalez
One of the most passionate voters for the Hall of Merit, he is somewhat (but not totally) anti-sabermetric. The greatest friend for "Parisian" Bob Caruthers' induction, karlmagnus (that's one whole word - it's a pseudonym which has nothing to do with his real name) is by far the greatest proponent for Jake "Eagle Eye" Beckley's candidacy.
His analytical system for voting is heavily weighted towards the number of hits accrued by each player and the number of WINS, baby, accrued by pitchers. He doesn't like any statistic you can't drop on your foot.
Because he poses as an economist in real life (in reality one econ. course lifetime), karlmagnus is a firm believer that certain changes in the economy have affected the quality of competition at certain times. He also has used his theories to argue that the electorate for the Hall of Merit had been electing too many Negro Leaguers, though he is now largely reconciled to Chris Cobb's analysis (which is the greatest catalyst for voting or not voting for a Negro Leaguer) of the Negro League.
karlmagnus is the author of several non-baseball related books.
karlmagnus, a Red Sox fan, was a happy man in 2004, yet he still despises the GM of the 2004 Red Sox, Theo Epstein.
If you ask karlmagnuse, everything good that ever happened to the Red Sox was a direct result of Dan Duquette.
