John Franco was a longtime MLB left-handed relief pitcher, mostly for the New York Mets. He is a product of Brooklyn's Lafayette High School, so for the bulk of his career he pitched in his hometown. In his prime he was one of baseball's most reliable closers, but at the end he was just a LOOGY.
For some reason, the Mets fans on Primer revile him. You'll have to ask them why.
