Joe Posnanski
From Wiki Gonzalez
Joe Posnanski (nicknamed "Poz") is a baseball columnist for the Kansas City Star. He has worked at the Star since 1996.
Posnanski's columns are often linked to on Baseball Think Factory. Thanks to his wit, observational humor (necessary when having to cover the Royals), and interest in both the human and analytical sides of the game, Primates in general consider him one of the finest baseball writers working in the mainstream media. In fact, in 2003 and 2005 Posnanski was named the best sports columnist in America by the Associated Press Sports Editors.
Posnanski was a friend of the late Negro Leagues alumnus Buck O'Neil, also a Kansas City resident. In 2007, he wrote a book documenting a baseball road trip with O'Neil, and launched "The Soul of Baseball" blog to support the book. Dedicated to O'Neil's memory, this blog was also popular with Primates. In October 2007, he shifted the blog over to his personal site JoePosnanski.com.
