Not real football, but a curious quasi-military exercise known as "American football". Some of Primer's more deranged inmates actually spend the fall and winter (after the conclusion of the World Series) watching groups of grown men engaging in this quaint activity.

It should be noted that God most assuredly hates football in all of its permutations. Nobody ever jumped into the stands until after they caught a football.

Despite what older generations might think, football is as intrinsically homoerotic as Top Gun, among other wildly homoerotic things.
