Longtime voter and contributor for the Hall of Merit project, he left us for a while, came back recently for an election, and is now MIA again (update as of Aug. 2005 - he's back!)

Before BTF changed over from Baseball Primer in 2004, Flaxseed went by his real name of James Newburg. He temporaily changed his handle after the revelation that steroids were given to Barry Bonds under the guise of flaxseed oil. The full handle was "I feel the need...the need for flaxseed!" which was shortened by other posters for obvious reasons.
