First!

"First!" is what not-so-creative Primer posters try to write as the first post in a new thread.

"First!" is a phenomenon which some Primates believe comes from Slashdot (http://slashdot.org) (/.). Because /. has so many posting members, somehow a cachet developed around being the first person to post on a particular thread. This devolved into a bunch of Slashdotters sitting around and refreshing the main page and diving into a new thread with the intention of posting "First!" as the number one post. This inevitably leads to the first 10 posts being nothing but "First!", getting more and more annoying as they go.

For some unknown reason, the denizens of the Primer Lounge have developed the same proclivity. "First!" is acceptable (though not funny) in the Lounge. If you do it in the Primer Dugout, you will get bitchslapped.
