EQA
From Wiki Gonzalez
EQA (Equivalent Average) is a more complete offensive measure that is scaled to a normal batting-average scale. An average major leaguer has an .260 EQA and a very good season is a .300 EQA and an all star year is an .330 EQA. EQA is based on RawEQA which is:
(H + TB + 1.5*(BB + HBP) + SB + SH + SF)/(AB + BB + HBP + SH + SF + CS + SB/3)
which then is scaled to the .260 EQA average major leaguer.
The formula was originated by Clay Davenport before he joined Baseball Prospectus, and he has continued development on it. EQA's for recent players can be found on Prospectus' player cards or in their preseason annuals.
