Certainly the most written about team in the history of the Universe, especially with regard to their Brooklyn incarnation (1884-1957). Every living human being in the United States born before 1950 was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Every boy in America who was a teenager in the decade 1947-1957 made a train journey to Brooklyn with his father for the express purpose of watching a Dodger series.
