David Jones
From Wiki Gonzalez
David Jones (also known as "David C. Jones") was a frequent poster to Old Primer. He'll pop up once every few months, but that's about it.
David lives in the Albany, NY, area and is an Orioles fan. He and Eric Enders used to work together as reference librarians at the Baseball Hall of Fame. Along with Andy, David was a moderate counterweight against David Nieporent, Dan Szymborski and others piling on the O's for apparently dumb decisions; he often tried to find a thread of reason in the team's actions.
By no means was David limited to Orioles talk. He was noted for his well-argued analytical posts, especially with regard to baseball history. In the early days of the site, he also helped out with some of the Hall of Merit spreadsheets.
In 2005, David has been seen quite frequently at the Hall of Merit, where he finally became a voter after fifty elections had passed. He is one of the Hall of Merit's fiercest advocates of Negro Leaguers and posts many items in regard to them. He also became quite controversial in the voting because he declined to give war credit to players who missed time fighting in World War II.
Ask him about the time Scott Pose gave him the finger.
The world's greatest Dode Paskert fan!
