Dan Le Batard

Dan Le Batard is a sports columnist for the Miami Herald, and also appears on various ESPN shows and programs.

His baseball writing for the Herald is often seen on Baseball Think Factory for its sharpness and sardonic tone. He typically takes a contrarian stance to the prevailing mainstream media opinion -- for instance, sympathizing with minority athletes and steroid users in their scrapes with authority. A recent column describing his mixed feelings as a Cuban-American about letting Cuba's national team into the World Baseball Classic spawned a long Primer thread.
