Clutch in Contention (also known as CiC and "that asshole") is a 21-year-old Physical Education student at Bowling Green State University. Once among the youngest of the primates, CiC is now just among the least mature.

Throughout his time as a primate, CiC has contracted two autoimmune diseases, a countless list of failed blog attempts, and never, ever been able to get Bernal Diaz to cook him a hamburger.

A relatively consummate lounger, Clutch is known for his brash ignorance of various lounge customs, including syllogistic and sarcastic humor, profound historical baseball knowledge, respect for mathematics and any sort of social tolerance for anyone anywhere ever.

Clutch has taken several hiatuses for a variety of reasons ranging from health to relocation, to most recently fallout as a result of bitching about someone bitching about the use of the word "bitch" as an insult.

A legal resident of the state of New York and current resident of Ohio by way of New York, Clutch is a die-hard (and sometimes manic) fan of the Buffalo Sabres and New York Yankees. He is also a fan of the Buffalo Bills and New York Knicks, but less so because they are much more likely to predictably disappoint. CiC is probably among the top few hockey followers of the web-site, though that is not saying much because there are only like six hockey fans left in all of the world anyway.
