Chicagoland Mafia

It seems like the daytime Lounge is overrun by

1. Cubs and White Sox fans
2. Primates who live in greater Chicago
3. Some combination of 1 and 2.

This grouping constitutes the Chicagoland Mafia. (Not to be confused with Scarface, Momo, John Darco, and Fred Roti's version of the Chicagoland Mafia.)

There are two main families: the Dascenzo family (comprised of Cub fans like DeJesusFreak) and the Cangelosi family (consisting of White Sox fans like Vince Galloro). Minor families on the fringes include the Conigliaro family (represented by scotto) and the Fregosi family (represented by Shredder).

Some privately circulated references list the Colavito family (represented by buddha) among the aforementioned Four Families; however, the family seems to prefer to keep a low profile, and is rarely sighted at Chicagoland Mafia conclaves.

TVerik coined the phrase "Chicagoland Mafia" in the May 14-15 Weekend Lounge (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/primer/blogpen_discussion/28534/P100/) (post #18): "Once the Chicagoland mafia start posting in the Lounge (around 10AM weekdays in the East), I lose all track of time."
