Bruce Springsteen
From Wiki Gonzalez
Bruce Springsteen (aka "The Boss") is an American rock icon popular among Primates and the population at large, selling out Giants Stadium in New Jersey multiple times consecutively.
Eric Enders is by far The Boss's biggest fan on BTF. Gary Santerre disputes this, however. Enders has seen Springsteen live 20 times. John Murphy has never seen him, but owns all of his albums.
Repoz feels that Springsteen lost all street cred when Jon Landau forced him to dump longtime drummer Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez for the bombastic sound of "Mighty" Max Weinberg, a Broadway session drummer. However, since Ernest "Boom" Carter actually replaced Lopez about a year earlier, this theory may not hold water.
But then again, Repoz was present for the legendary Bruce Springsteen/Anne Murray riot at the Central Park Wollman Rink back in 1974.
The Primer Archives Beast shows one very early attempt to stoke the flame of Bruce by Jim Furtado, but the thread with a more detailed discussion of Bruce's body of work is hard to find, and only the participants know for sure where it lies.
Consensus is Bruce still rocks, however his political views are considered by some to be "out there." An upcoming Michael Moore film will claim that he orchestrated the September 11th attacks in order to sell more records.
Bruce did not record a rockin' version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." That was a parody by the so-called Bruce Springstone, and is the best version of "TMOTTBG" ever recorded.
