BTF's effect on the American economy

From Wiki Gonzalez

BTF's effect on the American economy is uncertain, but is most likely neutral.

Au contraire. BTF's impact on the U.S. economy is indeed negative. However, this may change as baseball becomes more globalized and more foreign workers become regular posters. Also, decline in individual worker productivity may be offset by improved morale as a result of posting on company time, resulting in collective productivity improvement. In any case, further study is needed.

The U.S. government's Bureau of Labor Statistics noticed a sharp decline in US worker productivity during the last weeks of October and early November and put out a press release that summarizes (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/primer/blogpen_discussion/24394/P200/#80) the issue from government economists' point of view.

If Sheehan's Axiom applies, this is a moot discussion.
