Arrested Development was an hour-long filmed sitcom (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367279/) on the FOX network. The series ran for three seasons from 2003 to 2006.

In the opinion of many, many Primates and TV critics, Arrested Development was the best show on television. However, it ultimately failed to find a wide American audience.

The last episodes ever aired in February, 2006 opposite NBC's coverage of the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. FOX had the final four episodes of the third season in hand, and for some reason figured that burning them off against the Olympics was a great idea.
