Profile
24 has won a plethora of Emmy Awards, and is one of the most watched shows in America. It airs first-run on Monday nights, and reruns of old episodes are expected to be widely syndicated.
The main selling point of 24 is that events occur in "real time," in that each episode is an hour from one day, and there are 24 "hours" (episodes) in a season.
In the fourth season of the show, the bad guys belong to the firm McLennan-Forster, a nod to Grant McLennan and Robert Forster, the duo behind indie-pop band the Go-Betweens.

Helpful Life Lessons
Besides the well-shot action scenes and hard-hitting drama, 24 is also very educational and has taught us many important things about America:
- The Importance of Time Management
- The Role of Homosexuals and Minorities
- The Dangers of Predatory Animals and Bear Traps in Californian Forests
- The Ethical Dilemmas Suffered in The War On Terror
- The best methods of clever product placement. (In commercial-free episodes sponsored by Ford, the good guys drive expensive Fords and the bad guys drive cheap Fords. Also, Cisco Software will stop terrorist cyber-attacks while Alienware laptops are the choice of terrorists.)
- Kids are a lot of trouble.
- Jack Sacks (also known as "man-purses" or European carryalls) are vital tools for the agent on the run.
- Only yelling will get you to your goals. WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR? GET ME THAT CHOPPER NOW!
- Yelling the same phrase twice doubles its effectiveness. DROP THE GUN! DROP THE GUN!
- Yelling DAMNIT! DAMNIT! almost every time something fails is normal and acceptable.
